Privacy Policy

How we handle your data securely.

Last Updated: May 12, 2026

1. Introduction & Scope

ORBIT SIGNS, INC ("we," "our," or "us") is deeply committed to protecting the privacy and security of our clients, their end-users, and individuals interacting with the digital signage and physical retail environments powered by our software. This Privacy Policy delineates how we collect, process, store, and secure data across our corporate website, custom APIs, edge computing modules, and content management systems (CMS).

2. Data We Collect: Corporate & Client Data

When engaging with ORBIT SIGNS, INC for custom software development, we collect necessary business information, including but not limited to: corporate entity names, primary contact names, corporate email addresses, billing addresses, IP addresses, and secure authentication tokens required for deploying software to your hardware networks. We do not collect sensitive personal financial data; all payment processing is handled via secure, PCI-compliant third-party gateways.

3. Data We Collect: Edge Computing & Retail Analytics

A core function of our software involves Retail Computer Vision and Edge Telemetry. We do not collect or store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) via our retail analytics modules. All computer vision processing occurs at the "edge" (locally on the hardware module). Facial features are translated immediately into anonymized demographic markers (e.g., estimated age, dwell time, and attention metrics) and are transmitted to our servers as abstract numerical data. The original raw video or image feeds are instantly discarded and are never transmitted across the network or stored in our databases.

4. Data Usage & Processing Purposes

Data collected is utilized strictly for the following operational purposes:

  • Executing the terms of our Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Monitoring network health, tracking offline digital signage endpoints, and optimizing API routing latency.
  • Providing aggregated, anonymized analytics reporting to our enterprise clients.
  • Investigating security incidents, DDoS mitigation, and preventing unauthorized access to proprietary APIs.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Sub-Processors

ORBIT SIGNS, INC operates on a strict zero-sale data policy. We do not, and will never, sell, rent, or lease your data or your customers' anonymized data to data brokers or advertising networks. We may share necessary routing data with highly vetted third-party sub-processors (e.g., AWS for cloud hosting, Cloudflare for DNS/WAF, DataDog for telemetry logging) strictly for the purpose of maintaining our infrastructure. All sub-processors are bound by stringent Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

6. Data Retention & Erasure

We retain corporate client data for the duration of the active business relationship and up to seven (7) years post-termination to comply with federal tax and legal obligations. Anonymized telemetry data generated by digital signs is retained according to the specific terms defined in your SOW, typically on a rolling 90-day window before being aggregated and purged. Clients may request total erasure of their codebase environments and associated databases upon contract termination.

7. Security Measures & Incident Response

We implement AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit across all our products. Access to production databases is heavily restricted via Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and zero-trust VPN tunnels. In the highly unlikely event of a data breach affecting your specific deployment, ORBIT SIGNS, INC will notify your designated technical contact within 72 hours of incident verification, providing a full forensic breakdown and mitigation plan.

8. Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR Compliance)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may possess specific rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data. While our platform primarily handles B2B data and anonymized edge telemetry, we are fully committed to assisting our enterprise clients in maintaining their own CCPA and GDPR compliance standards when utilizing our software.
